What is Mosaic?
Mosaic is a type of artwork that is created by arranging lots of tiles/ materials together in order to form a picture or a design.
Mosaics have been around for many years, as far back as the start of the Bronze Age (which was a VERY long time ago... over 4000 years ago to be more specific!). These ancient mosaics were made out of stone and shells. Today, mosaics are made out of all kinds of materials.
Mosaics can be used to decorate floors, buildings and walls. They are sometimes used within household designs, especially in bathrooms and kitchens.
